Class Details & Format:

GENERAL:

• PARENTS WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED TO JOIN FOR THE FIRST 30 MINUTES OF DAY 1 TO DISCUSS:

  • THE INDUSTRY / Q& A

  • HOW TO

    • 1. Best help your young actors prepare their material

    • 2. Become a team! Find the balance of holding your actors accountable - and allowing them to take control of their acting lives making them proactive and hungry to grow in their craft!

• ACTORS WILL RECEIVE SCENES/ MATERIALS TO PREP 2-3 DAYS IN ADVANCE

DAY ONE:

DRAMA / FILM

• OPENING Q & A / SEMINAR WITH ACTORS AND PARENTS

  • REVIEW WORKSHEET 

    • Comedy vs Drama formula

    • Script breakdown / character development tools

    • Terminology

    • Homework / research BEFORE you prep your scene
      

• ACTORS WILL PERFORM SCENES ‘AUDITION STYLE’ THEN RECEIVE NOTES AND REDIRECTION TO PREPARE FOR TAPING ON DAY 2.

DAY TWO:

DRAMA/FILM

• Review and practice Day 1’s notes

• Actors will master the art of Self Tapes

  • Perform & film their scenes callback / audition style

    • Tapes sent after class!

New scenes for day 3 will be given &

partners will be assigned!

DAY THREE:

COMEDY/TV

• Actors will perform like they’re on set!

• Learn to work across from scene partners, scene blocking etc

• LAST PORTION OF CLASS: SPECIAL GUEST / CASTING DIRECTOR HARRIET GREENSPAN WILL JOIN US THROUGH ZOOM TO TALK WITH THE ACTORS AND REVIEW THEIR WORK

Megan Collins has worked professionally in the TV & Film industry for the past 15 years! From production, assistant directing, casting, and acting, Megan has worked in nearly every avenue of the industry to better learn the process from top to bottom. Megan’s acting credits include projects performing alongside actors like Noah Cyrus, Laura Morano, Jayden Bartells, Tucker Albrizzi, and so many more. 

Bringing her experience from working on pilots, attending countless callbacks, chemistry reads, and network tests for networks like Paramount, Disney, Nickelodeon, FOX, ABC, (+more),

Megan brings a well-rounded perspective to performance and auditioning for TV and Film through the lens of what Casting Directors, Producers, and Directors are really looking for.
